Know what you meen i had lots of people who i talk to on a day to day bacis from work mainly they were always around when they wanted something But now im not working were are they ?? not exactley friends were they!!! never had enyone i could realy talk to though and none of them out of work hours its not that easy to make friends is it.

Your not a failure you just sound lost try sorting one thing at a time to find a little happiness, When you go out try to pace yourself spend more time talking to the people your out with this should slow down your drinking.
Work on keeping up with one or two old friends a quick Hi how are you once a week should be a good to start with (one good friend is better than none!)

the love of my life lives far away and i just found out hes married i think (theres a language barrior) luckley i never acted on my feelings were only friends but i feel so cheeted still
