We are from different places, I'm from the countryside, he is from the big city.
I studied and now work in his town. But it's not mine, it's not home.
I miss my farm, my animals and my big spaces, my silences.
This week he told me he doesn't want to live there.
And I don't want to live in the city anymore, I'm tired of it.
I want my new life, with my house to call home, with my new business.
He doesn't want to come because of the early mornings to go to work and because he will have to find ways to go out with his friends.
I don't care. I want my life. I need it.
And now we are suspended in this world were he can go out but where I simply don't fit.
And I'm sad, so sad...

I feel for you, giving up on love always hurts, no matter the reason. He doesn't want to go with you because he is concerned about spending time with his friends. He does not REALLY love you or who and what you are then. Being with his friends is more important to him than being with you, doesn't that ring any bells within you? You have studied in this city for a while and met this guy and had a relationship with him, but when it comes a time to make serious adult choices and be with you, his concern is finding time to be with his friends. Oh honey, please, the man isn't worth it, c'mon now! You followed your dreams and went to school and now you want to return home and follow your dreams desire, I applaud you, that's great! During your dream you met some guy, let's call it a setback shall we, don't give up your goals and dreams just for some guy who thinks of you second, screw that! Men are a dime a dozen, finish school, go home and do business there; chances are you'll find a decent man at home who actually loves you for you and wont make you make choices between him and his friends. Life is very short, remember that YOU come first and there is no rewind button in life.
