The world is full of mean people, the few that care make it all worth it. Its them crying out about their own insecurities, dont take it to heart even though it is hard, stick it through and the one that deserves you will make everything obsolete. you will end up looking back and feel sorry for them, you will be happy, even if it takes some time. Dont look for happiness, it finds you...

hi, it's such a shame when people come up to you and smear you with their own projected insecurities..you seem kind of young, if you don't mind me saying so, and this is especially difficult to hear those kind of mean things when you are trying to just find out who you are. You know, what i've learned in my old age is that when a person truly feels ok within herself and the world, then there is no need to put another person down. It's usually those people who feel pretty lousy inside, whether they are aware or not, who will try to bring another person down. The meaning to life involves getting to know who you are and what you stand for. It's finding love for yourself despite what the rest of the world thinks. Only then, can you learn to love others. I'm not talking about the conceited type of egotism, either. I mean loving yourself unconditionally and learning to accept both what is good and not so hot. The best thing you can do is to stand back and take a look at this person with an objective and compassionate point of view...what is driving this person to go up to someone and hurt them with mean words. Why would they say that to someone they hardly even know? It's pretty pathetic.. those who puff themselves up by putting down others.. it's a cry for help. So, brush it off..clean your feelings up and appreciate the fact that you have been given a chance to decide for yourself. Do you let this person determine who you are or do is that your responsibility?...good luck.
